Blue-green staining often points toward copper corrosion. That means the highest-value fix may be corrosion control or plumbing work—not simply adding a filter. Filtration is useful when you also need a verified copper-reduction barrier at the drinking tap.
If copper is confirmed, address why the plumbing is releasing it. For drinking water, use an exact model with a verified copper-reduction claim if a point-of-use barrier is appropriate. Do not assume generic carbon or RO marketing is enough.
