Its main advantage is compact automatic drainage in tight spaces. It is not the right pump for heavy sewage, fibrous material or high-solids dirty water.
Core performance
DAB publishes an operating range from 1 to 15 m³/h for the Nova UP MAE family, with head up to 10 m. Waterpump UK lists the Nova Up 300 M-AE at roughly 10,000 l/h maximum capacity and around 7.5 m head.
The 300 M-AE technical sheet specifies free passage around 10 mm.
Automatic low-level drainage
The MAE version uses integrated electronic switching and is designed for automatic fixed applications. The technical sheet lists a minimum suction height of about 60 mm for the 300 M-AE, with automatic suction capability down to a few millimetres in suitable installations.
Where it fits
Good applications include flooded basements, garages, tanks and emergency water removal. The compact vertical-discharge form is useful where a traditional float switch would not have room to swing.
Where it does not fit
For sewage, stringy debris or large solids, choose a pump designed for wastewater rather than pushing the Nova Up beyond its specified free passage.
