Place the unit near power, install the cartridges exactly as instructed, fill the feed tank, complete the full flush routine and keep enough clearance for reservoir removal and filter changes.
Choose the right location
Countertop RO needs stable counter space, ventilation and easy access to refill or remove the feed tank. Hot-water models should have safe clearance around the dispenser.
Install and prime filters correctly
Some systems ship with cartridges preinstalled; others require insertion and locking. Do not run the unit if transport caps or packaging remain on the filters.
Initial flushing is essential
The first cycles can contain carbon fines or manufacturing residues. Follow the exact number of flush cycles in the manual before judging taste.
Watch the waste tank or reject reservoir
Countertop RO usually stores reject water in the feed tank or a separate reservoir rather than sending it to a household drain. Empty and rinse as directed.
