XWFE is strong on model-specific reduction documentation
GE publishes performance documentation for XWFE covering chlorine taste/odor and specified health-related contaminant claims including lead and PFAS. The exact performance data sheet should be checked for the refrigerator/filter combination you are buying.
Compatible XWFE cartridges can save money, but RFID is the deciding complication. Some aftermarket filters include a working chip; others do not. A filter that fits mechanically can still fail electronically.
