Frizzlife PD800 Problems: What to Check Before Replacing the System

The PD800 shares most tankless-RO failure modes with smaller models, but its high flow makes restrictions especially noticeable.

Quick take

Check prefilters, membrane rejection, inlet pressure, flushing and drain routing before blaming the pump or electronics. If the remineralized taste changes, inspect the post-treatment cartridge as well.

Flow drop

A high-capacity unit can expose clogged prefilters quickly. Compare current flow with baseline performance after installation.

TDS changes

Remember that remineralization can raise finished-water TDS intentionally. Measure before and after the remineralization stage when diagnosing membrane performance.

Drain behavior

Periodic flushing is normal; continuous drain flow is not. Verify drain plumbing and whether the unit exits flush mode.

Replacement strategy

Annualize the ASR211, ASR212-800G and remineralization filter costs before deciding whether continued ownership still makes sense.
